Remembrance of 26 Oct 1960

Gilgit: 26 Oct salgirah Mubarak celebrated by ismaili Muslims across Gilgit in the remembrance of His highness Prince karim Aga Khan spiritual leader of shia imami ismailies first ever visit to the land of GB in 26 October 1960. That day all ismailies remind their history where they were in dark, starve, no clothes , no houses , no education soon after His visit blessed them with light and hope to lead life they became able to get education, live in acceptable environment, provided health facilities because of His endless and countless blessings through his paramount NGO AKDN. While talking to reporter daily mountain pass one of His follower Shah khan said that “26 Oct is one of sacred days for us present Imam visit GB blessed us his didar, today we are enjoying quality of life because of his visit”.
