Two newspaper reports had been <span class=\"ilad\">printed<\/span> a couple of week back, in which a reporter had accused some unnamed members of the GB Assembly and Council of luring young girls in the name of scholarships and jobs, and forcing or tricking them into having sexual relationships with higher ups in the federal <span class=\"ilad\">capital<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The youth gathered outside the press club said that this incident has <span class=\"ilad\">brought<\/span> shame on the people of GB, and they demand a transparent investigation of the allegations. They said that efforts to push this \u2018ugly story\u2019 under the carpet will be resisted.<\/p>\n<p>It is pertinent to note that, while rubbishing the allegations, the GB government has already ordered the formation of a committee of parliamentarians to investigate the matter and present a report with recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>The reporter, Shabbir Saiham, who is from Gilgit-Baltistan, has in his social media posts said that he will provide proofs to the investigation committee and other relevant organisations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Islamabad:\u00a0Members of various youth organisations gathered outside the Islamabad Press Club today to demand transparent probe into the allegations leveled against unnamed members of the GB Legislative Assembly and Council.
