Newcomers from G-B welcomed at Sargodha University

SARGODHA: Students of Gilgit-Baltistan arranged a welcome party for newcomers at the University of Sargodha (UOS).

Acting Vice Chancellor Dr. Afzal, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy Bashir Sajid, Professor Dr. Alamgeer and over 100 hundred students attended the party.

The students wearing the local cap and white dressed performed the cultural dance with Shina and Balti traditional music.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Afzal said that he was very happy knowing that more than 100 students are studying in UOS. He maintained that that there is no dearth of talent in the students who belong to Gilgit-Baltistan, adding that the junior students should follow the seniors to understand the varsity environment.

He added that he was also ready to solve the problem of Gilgit-Baltistan students. Professor Dr. Alamgeer hailing from Gilgit-Baltistan based in Sargodha said ‘we should transfer our moral and ideological knowledge to others which is empowered by the university and hardworking is first condition to reach the destination.

Representing Gilgit-Baltistan he also welcomed and thanked the guest for participating in the event.

Earlier, a shield was presented by Acting Vice Chancellor to Zaheer Ahmad for completion of his degree.

Dr. Basheer Sajid, Zaheer Ahamad, Aslam Rahi and others spoke on this occasion. Later, the party turned into musical program as student started to dance with the music.
