Youth Internship Program (YIP) 2016-17

The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) under its Enhancing Employability & Leadership for Youth (EELY) project funded by Government of Canada, Global Affairs Canada and Aga Khan Foundation Canada is pleased to announce 1st round of Youth Internship Program for the year 2016-17 for young graduates (both men and women) of Gilgit-Baltistan in partnership with the Department of Tourism, Youth, Sports & Culture GB. The overall objective of YIP is to provide fresh graduates from Gilgit-Baltistan a professional environment to utilize their academic knowledge and improve their professional skills.

Eligibility Criteria:                                

Candidates must have completed 16 years of formal education (4 years Bachelors or 2 years bachelors and 2 years Masters) with no prior working experience. Applicants with diploma in engineering such as DAE and B-Tech can also apply. For female candidates from Diamer, Baltistan and Astore, 14 years of education is also acceptable. All candidates must have GB domicile, a valid CNIC and must be less than 30 years of age by the application deadline. The candidates must not have benefitted from the YIP program previously.

The application form can be downloaded from www.gbcyouth.org. Application form can also be acquired by writing to yip@akrsp.org.pk or obtained from AKRSP regional and area offices. Please submit the duly completed application form either via email at yip@akrsp.org.pk org or in person at AKRSP Core and Regional offices in Gilgit or Skardu no later than Sunday, 24th April, 2016.

Applicants should use the prescribed application form or online form, otherwise their application would not be considered for shortlisting.
