CAIG started a two month women’s vocational training program in GB

GILGIT: (Mountain Pass Report) PAKISTAN Central Asia Institute Gilgit (CAIG) started a two month women’s vocational training program for ~60 women in Qarqolti village, Yasin valley, in Ghizar district, in the remote Hindu Kush Mountains. Four more programs are concurrently running, with a focus on empowering women with vocational skills to make clothes and handicrafts that can be sold in the local marketplace. With these skills, the women can have a source of income and for several – they are the sole or critical income provider for extended families.
