DEFINITION OF EDUCATION AND EDUCATIONAL OUT-PUT IN PAKISTAN

Education plays a vital role in the development of a nation. Nations gain their national aims and goals through an effective education system. Terrorism, poverty, unemployment and corruption are the burning issues of Pakistan due to un-appropriate education system. Output of any things depends on its appropriate input. The definition of education precisely described in the syllabus in respective classis. But whatever I understand, in Pakistan there is an inverse relationship between definitions of education and educational out-put. Every educationist and philosopher defined education on their own prospective. But the production of education does not meet the definition of education.
According to Socrates “Education refers to discover the universal principles of truth, beauty and goodness which govern human beauty”.But crimes are increase day by day in the form of child abuse, kidnaps, target killing, sexual harassment. Several times these cases took place in educational institution. Blood of human being is terrifyingly blooded in the earth. Where the goodness? Where the universal discovery of truth? Where the respect of humanity?
Does the educational out-put meets the definition of education?
Plato says. “Education is the process of development of mind and body of man so that he/she eagerly pursues the ideal perfection of citizenship”.Most educated people work for others’ interest against the Islamic republic of Pakistan for the sake of some collective and personal gains. Where is the ideal citizen? How developed mind?
Does the educational out-put meets the definition of education?
According to Aristotle. “Education is process of training man to fulfill his aim by exercising all the faculties to fullest extent as a member of society. This aim is discovered by intellect and by his free will. Many topics in our syllabus have no any practical implementation in the educational institution and practical life but students have to learn these for scoring purpose. Our educational system makes us habitual of cramming instead of intellectual. Is the aim of man is to be a slave? Have the students no nay right to take decisions independently? Is there any intellectual teacher or educationist to produce intellectual students according to their maximum level of capacity?

Imam Gazali says. “Education is the activity of enabling an individual to recognize God and discriminate between good and evils” Being a Muslim we are strictly prohibited even to ache someone, avoid badness and accept the goodness. But terrorism, fraud, target killing, sexual harassment and other social evils increase day by day. Human rights madly exploited. Bint-e-Hawa killed by barbarous after rapped, ,many cases about child abuses, right of education snatch from poor and budget investment on education remain low but no one to ask. Suicide attacks spoil the lives of others and their own as well. How we can say we recognize God? How we can say we know our self-respect and the dignity of others?
