Five men arrested for killing rare snow-leopard in Gilgit

GILGIT: (Mountain Pass) Five men arrested for killing rare snow-leopard and posing with the dead animal in Hoper locality of district Nagar, Gilgit-Baltistan.

The central figures in the poaching activity will spend two years behind the bar for killing the endangered animal and also pay fines of up to 5 million rupees.

Two accomplices have been sentenced to one year’s imprisonment for stuffing the dead animal.

One accomplice has been sentenced to one month in jail.
