GBLA passes two resolutions, three Acts

GILGIT:  The Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) in its proceeding in Gilgit on Tuesday unanimously passed two resolutions and three Acts.

In the first resolution, the House thanked Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for appointing Mr Ghazanfar Ali Khan as Governor Gilgit-Baltistan and attending the oath taking ceremony in Gilgit.

In the second resolution of Assembly praised the role of provincial government, Force Commander, elected representatives and notables of Diamer for getting free two abducted employees without any condition.

The assembly collectively passed three bills in the House.

They include Environmental Protection Act 2015, Prohibition of Corporal Punishment Act and Prohibition of expressing matter on walls Act 2015.

The house also deliberated upon Child Marriages Restrain Act 2015 but Speaker referred it to select committee for necessary amendments.
