SIHL agree to establish 3 state-of-the-art referral laboratories in Gilgit Baltistan

ISLAMABAD: (Mountain Pass) Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani (Chief Secretary of GB) visited Shifa International Hospital Islamabad and met the hospital’s senior management, who visited various Healthcare Setups in GB District, in lieu of improving quality of care. In addition to appointing competent consultants, SIHL agreed to offer professional advice and consultation for the improvement all healthcare services, processes and infrastructure. The CS assured the complete support and accommodation for all joining doctors.

The CS appreciated that for the success of the program, SIHL will facilitate an adequate backup team of doctors to provide continuous/seamless healthcare services to the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, especially in these times of need. The experts team’s efforts in going above and beyond and conducting detailed analysis of healthcare systems for improvement and sustainability of patient care were acknowledged.

The members agreed on the proposed plans to establish 3 state-of-the-art referral laboratories through public-private partnership, where all residents of in Gilgit-Baltistan will be provided quality health services at subsidized rates. It was agreed that SIHL will be a member of various steering and monitoring committees to provide policy advice. Various medical camps and other improvement initiatives are in plan as well.
