PRC reaches Jaglote with relief

GILGIT: Pakistan Red Crescent (PRC) Gilgit-Baltistan with support of Gilgit-Baltistan Disaster Management Authority (GBDMA) and District Administration Gilgit has provided relief of Non-food items to over 45 families of Jaglot valley, a press released said on Saturday.

The families were badly affected by heavy rains and floods. PRC emergency relief operation 2016 reached them in the wake of the destruction.

The relief goods were included tarpaulin sheets, Blankets, kitchen sets, stoves and other items of domestic usage.

Speaking at the occasion PRC GB Secretary Noor-ul-ain said that the Pakistan Red Crescent has been trying to reach out the vulnerable communities affected by recent heavy rains and floods in various parts of the region but could not be able to get access them so far due to destruction of roads and infrastructure. However, our teams are ready to go ahead to the affected areas whenever the communication barriers to be removed.

She shown profound grief and sorrow cover the huge loss to human lives and livelihoods caused by heavy rains in Gilgit-Baltistan.
